I think it was bad that the evening started with food. I know that there were times when there were long ceremonies that came before plates full of delicacies were served - that was not good either.

 

Had they read a few verses relating to the holiday, and the blessing of the field, for no more than ten minutes, and then wish "hearty appetite," that would take the sting of the lack of success - - -
