Why does a man get married,

Perhaps for the time when

A person is ended and is not,

Left by his father,

His mother or son dies

He has gone quiet from afar.

And perhaps for ordinary times

When words are routine

Like a table you ask for

Or a child’s finishing move

Why does a man bring his face

The bone that is one time a nose

And another time open

And many other lines

Radiate from the eye,

 To say in his wife’s home

I am new

I am calm and happy.
