Deep into the bonfire

Fire has a secret, fire has a secret

It’s terribly important

 

In fact all the flames

That are laughing there and dancing

They are a group of good fairies

Who came from fairy tales

 

And the naughty sparks

Fly and jump and disperse

They are the babies of the stars

Who ran away from their parents

 

And if you throw a leaf in the fire

What is he whispering, what is he whispering?

What are all the trees there annoyed about

And who is throwing the sparks?
