To light the candles in all of the worlds –

is Shabbat.

To light the candles of Shabbat

 is a leap of the soul, full of secrets

to the wonderful sea, containing the mystery

of the fire of sunset.

As I light the candles
my room shall turn into the river of Fire

and my heart sinks in a cascade of emeralds...
