Lag Ba'omer

S.L. Gordon

Lag Ba’Omer

We’ll make a noise in the forest, like a sparrow we will fly

We will sing with a bird and chirp: cheep, cheep, cheep

We will whistle with the locust and hum with the fly

We will dance with the frog that lives in the reeds

Every weed every flower will say there:

Today is Lag Ba’Omer, today is Lag Ba’Omer!

We’ll go to the forest with bow and arrow

We’ll get up and go – there a flower and a hawk

Will chirp above, from the top of every tree

There greenery and radiance and never ending breadth!
