There - in the pyramids land
A ruthless king was in command
With hard labor he brutally tormented
The Children of Israel, whom he subjected

 

Suffering in silence 
The people dare not seek the light
With crumbled pride and power crushed
No independence was in sight

 

Then in the pyramids land
Arose a hero with valor and determination
With spirits strong and a wise disposition
He brought freedom and liberty unto his nation
