Don’t Say

Natan Yonatan

Don’t say, there was once youth

Don’t say: our old man and our grandfather

If just for once please be a little arrogant

To look to the herald on the peaks of the mountains

And to be silent: there is nothing, we have just become tired

However for a moment we became tired and then became young again

Do not see the wrinkles on our arms

Just look at the hand full of youth

And please see the people working in the villages

The wheat covering our fields
