For you, if not for us
Rabbi Yechezkel of Kuzzmir once claimed before the Master of the Universe:
"It is true, that we have great debts, that we owe you much, so much, but the way of the world is that when a merchant sees that his client is in bad shape and is nearing bankruptcy, the merchant does not let him fall; but he supports him, so he can get back on n his feet and then will be able to repay what he owes ... Therefore, we ask of you, Master of the Universe: 'We wrote in the Book of Life,' give us in credit a little new life, and you should do so for you as well, "for you Living God" -that in this way we will be able to repay our old debts to you ... "
