It will suffice with just stating an amazing fact: within the framework of the winter courses at Yagur, the lectures on the bible are the most requested and popular. Last year we dealt with the Book of Genesis, and the secular teacher, who really fascinated us with his explanations for some six months, touched only briefly on the abundance of problems that are raised when studying this book, his traditional research and all the more so modern science.

There is no other book that on the eve of Simchat Torah we could so enjoy hearing the lecture on an appropriate scientific level from this great treasure, which we have abandoned in our cultural lives. Furthermore, the day following the festival itself it was possible to reserve several hours of study guided by an excellent lecturer in this field and I can guarantee that there would be no lack of listeners.
