The Builder Said

Eli Netzer

Dalia

The builder said: I built a house, I caressed its body with my hand

Its door is sturdy, those leaving and entering will touch their feet on the threshold

I made it tall, it will reach the tops of the trees

I built a house, I will not live in it, perhaps my sons will live in it

I have grown old

Would that I still had the soul of a builder
